I have been teaching at ICS since 2012! The fourth grade year can be a bit challenging for students and families. Fourth grade presents many opportunities for students to gain independence and responsibility. Our goal in the fourth grade is to help each student reach his or her full potential as a disciple of Jesus.
In 2003, I graduated from Southern Illinois University – Carbondale, with my Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work. I initially went to Carbondale seeking a degree in Education, but changed my major along the way. I worked as a nursing home Social Worker for five years before realizing my true calling was a teacher!
I graduated from McKendree University in December 2011 with my Master’s Degree in Education. I have my Middle School Endorsements in Language Arts and Social Sciences. I was hired at ICS in the summer of 2012 and began teaching in the fall of 2012.
